Requirement	Hours	Notes
Competency Education Attestation	—	As of January 1, 2026, Oregon no longer uses practice hours for nurse competency. RN renewal applicants must complete one hour of pain management education in the last 36 months and two hours of cultural competency education in the past 48 months. Beginning January 1, 2028, LPN and RN applicants will also need evidence of 20 hours of continuing education.
