You can add ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) from Add License, Credential tab, next to your state APRN or NP license. What's New
National — ANCC FNP-BC and PMHNP-BC: ANCC NP certification renews every 5 years. Category 1 is 75 contact hours in the certification specialty. For NP and CNS certifications, 25 of those 75 hours must be pharmacotherapeutics — included in the 75, not added on top. Doubling Category 1 does not double the pharmacotherapeutics hours. You still need a current RN or APRN license. ANCC also accepts other professional-development categories (practice hours, precepting, academic credit, and related options); this tracker row follows the CE path so the same course can also count on a state APRN license.
Alcohol and drug counselor credentials in every state
You can add a CADC, LADC, LCDC, CASAC, LCAS, LICDC, or the matching state SUD credential in all 50 states and DC, next to your counseling or social-work license. One course can count on both. Already-logged hours were kept. Closed renewal periods were not rewritten. No action is required unless you hold an alcohol-and-drug credential that was not on your account yet — then add it from Add License.

All states + DC: Add License now lists counselor-level alcohol and drug credentials in every state. Examples: Illinois CADC (40 hours / 2 years), New York CASAC (60 hours / 3 years, including 6 hours of OASAS ethics), Ohio CDCA / LCDC / LICDC (30 hours / 2 years, including 6 SUD-specific and 3 ethics; 40 hours if you hold an ADC reciprocal endorsement), New Jersey CADC (60 hours / 2 years), North Carolina CADC (60 hours / 2 years) and LCAS (40 hours / 2 years). National NCAC I and MAC are under Credential. Where a board chart was not read this cycle, the tracker uses the IC&RC ADC recertification minimum of 40 hours / 2 years including 6 ethics — confirm extra topic hours with your board.
Colorado, Washington, Texas, Illinois: Colorado’s former CAC title is tracked as Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), with Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) available separately — CAC I–III were replaced under HB20-1206. Washington’s Chemical Dependency Professional is tracked as Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). Texas LCDC uses the current HHSC counselor page. Illinois CADC uses the CADC abbreviation. If you already saved one of these licenses, your hours stay; add CAT or SUDP only if that is the credential you renew.
NPI can import what CMS has — then add the rest of your states
NPI is a federal record, not a complete multi-state license list. After lookup you can import the states CMS returned and add the others in one step, including rows without a license number yet. Already-logged hours were kept. Closed renewal periods were not rewritten.
What's New
All licenses: If NPI only shows two of your states, import those, then choose the rest. License number and expiration can wait. Counselors: a Counseling Compact privilege is not a second license — CE still follows your home-state license in the seven live compact states (AR, AZ, GA, IN, LA, MN, OH as of July 30, 2026). Social workers: the Social Work Compact is not issuing licenses yet, so every full LCSW you hold still needs its own hours. No action is required unless you still need to add states NPI missed.

What's New
All licenses: After you save a course, you can apply it to each matching license in one step. Dual credentials in the same state stay independent — unchecking one does not change the other. If a topic minimum is already met on a license, later hours on that license count as general CE. No action is required unless a course you already logged should also count on another license — then open the course and choose the additional licenses.

California Law and Ethics hours and Colorado PDA categories
California BBS Law and Ethics hours now count whether a course was saved as Law and Ethics or Laws and Ethics. Colorado LMFT and LPC renewals now show the eight PDA categories used in the CPD program. Already-logged hours were kept. Closed renewal periods were not rewritten except where a current cycle had been collapsed to a single PDA cap.
Key Changes by State
California — LPCC, LMFT, LCSW, LEP: Each BBS renewal still needs 6 hours of Law and Ethics in the current 2-year cycle, counting toward the 36-hour total. Courses you already tagged under Laws and Ethics now count toward that 6-hour minimum. You do not need to re-enter those courses.
Colorado — LMFT and LPC: The CPD program is 40 PDH per 2-year cycle, across at least two of the eight PDA categories, with a 20 PDH cap in any one category. Your tracker now lists those categories (including Coursework, Supervision, Volunteer Service, Mentoring, Presenting, Publishing, and Independent and Group Learning). Hours already logged on a current cycle stay on Coursework when a course had only been filed under the single PDA cap. No action is required unless you want to move hours into a different PDA category.
We refreshed the official board and licensing-body links for 151 licenses so the sources you open from your license stay current. Your hour totals, topic requirements, and logged progress are unchanged. No action is required unless you use those links to verify rules with your board.

Dead PDFs, moved board sites, and a few malformed non-URL strings were replaced.
Your records: Only the board source URL on the catalog license was updated. Your personal hour logs, requirement progress, and closed renewal periods were not changed.

Board CE updates across several states — plus national certs you can track too
We refreshed continuing education rules for California therapists and psychologists, Oregon social workers, Washington marriage and family therapists, and Nevada and Mississippi nurses. You can also track national certifications (like NCC, BCBA, and CCC-SLP) next to your state licenses. If you hold one of the licenses below, your progress view already reflects the update.

Who this affects: California LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LEP, and psychologists; Oregon LCSW, LMSW, and RBSW; Washington LMFT; Nevada RN, LPN, and APRN; Mississippi APRN. National credentials: NCC, BCBA, CCC-SLP, CCC-A (and existing RDN).
California therapists & psychologists: BBS licenses (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, LEP) now show the familiar 36-hour renewal, including 6 hours of Law and Ethics every cycle, plus one-time Suicide Risk Assessment (6 hours) and Telehealth (3 hours) when those still apply to you. Supervisor training only appears if you supervise. California psychologists now show the Board of Psychology’s Laws & Ethics (4 hours) and Cultural Diversity / Social Justice (4 hours) requirements.
Oregon social workers: Biennial totals are unchanged (LCSW 40, LMSW 30, RBSW 20), but cultural competency is now tracked as a required category — 6, 4, or 3 hours depending on your license — and ethics hours match the board’s current floors. LCSWs also see 2 hours of suicide risk assessment training.
Washington LMFT: Requirement names and intervals now match current Department of Health wording (including Professional Ethics and Law, health equity, and suicide assessment). Your total hours stay at 32 every two years.
Nevada & Mississippi nurses: Nevada RN and LPN now include 4 hours of cultural competency each renewal, the one-time bioterrorism course, and HIV stigma training when it applies to your practice setting. Nevada APRNs also track specialty hours, suicide prevention on a four-year cycle, and controlled-substance training when you prescribe. Mississippi APRNs continue to show 5 hours related to controlled substances each certification period, plus keeping national certification and PMP registration current.
National certifications: You can now add National Certified Counselor (NCC — 100 hours every 5 years), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA — 32 CEUs every 2 years, including ethics), and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). We also corrected CCC-SLP to 30 professional development hours every 3 years. In Add License, choose Credential to add these alongside your state license so one course can count toward both.
Marriage and family therapy and New York behavioral health: 11 license types
We refreshed marriage and family therapy requirements across 6 states, added Minnesota LMFT, and applied New York's professional boundaries requirement to the behavioral health licenses it covers — 11 license types in all, each checked against the board's own regulation. If you hold one of these licenses, your tracker now reflects the current rule — your logged hours are unchanged, and past renewal periods keep the rules that applied at the time.
Key Changes by State
Alabama — LMFT and MFT Associate: 40 hours per 2-year renewal for LMFTs, 20 for Associates. At least 10 of those hours (5 for Associates) must be clinical MFT workshops, and up to 10 may be independent study. Alabama sets no hour cap on Board-approved distance learning. The 5-hour supervision requirement applies to LMFT Approved Supervisors only.
Kentucky — marriage and family therapist: 15 hours per annual renewal, including 3 in ethics. Suicide assessment, treatment and management is 6 hours every 6 years, not every year. Domestic violence and elder abuse training is 3 hours, required once within 3 years of initial licensure, so it shows against your third renewal.
Massachusetts — LMFT: 30 hours per 2-year renewal, including 6 in ethics. Domestic and sexual violence training is required as a condition of renewal; a Board-approved program does not need to be repeated once completed, so it is tracked as one-time.
New York — LMFT: 36 hours per 3-year registration period, of which no more than 12 may be self-study. Three of the 36 must cover maintaining appropriate professional boundaries — New York applies this to marriage and family therapists alongside social workers, mental health counselors and psychologists, for registration periods starting on or after April 1, 2023. There is no separate ethics-hours mandate for LMFTs; ethics hours you log count toward the 36.
North Dakota — LMFT and Licensed Associate MFT: LMFTs: 30 hours per 2-year renewal including 6 in ethics. Associates: 15 hours per annual renewal including 3 in ethics. Home study may cover up to half your hours either way, and board-approved or AAMFT-approved supervisors need 3 hours in supervision.
Minnesota — LMFT (now tracked): 40 hours of board-approved continuing education every two years, including 3 hours in ethical and professional studies. Attestation is due at renewal in each odd-numbered year.
New York — LCSW, LMSW and mental health counselor: The same 3-hour professional boundaries requirement applies to these licenses. It counts toward your existing 36 hours per 3-year registration period and applies to registration periods starting on or after April 1, 2023.
Requirement refresh: 21 license types across 10 states
We refreshed continuing education requirements for 21 license types across 10 states and one national credential, each checked against the issuing board's current rules. If you hold one of these licenses, your tracker now reflects the current requirement — no action needed. Past renewal periods keep the rules that applied at the time.
Key Changes by State
New York — psychologist: 36 hours per 3-year registration period, which must include 3 hours of professional ethics (covering New York laws, rules and regulations) and 3 hours on maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. A boundaries course that references New York regulations can count toward both.
Michigan — LPC and LMFT: Both renew on a 3-year cycle. Michigan sets no general CE hour requirement for these licenses; instead you need 1 hour of implicit bias training for each year of your cycle (3 hours), plus one-time human trafficking training before your first renewal.
Pennsylvania — CRNP and Clinical Nurse Specialist: 30 hours per biennial renewal. The 2 hours of child abuse recognition and reporting count toward that 30 — as does the 16 hours of pharmacology for CRNPs with prescriptive authority, and the 2 hours of pain management or opioid prescribing.
Florida — RN, LPN and APRN: 24 contact hours per biennium, including 2 hours each of medical error prevention, Florida laws and rules, and human trafficking. Recognizing Impairment in the Workplace (2 hours) is due every other renewal. Domestic violence (2 hours) is due every third renewal and is in addition to the 24, bringing that cycle to 26. The HIV/AIDS hour is one-time, before your first renewal. APRNs with prescriptive authority add 3 hours on controlled substances.
Texas — social work (LBSW, LMSW, LMSW-AP, LCSW): 30 hours per 2-year renewal, including 6 hours of ethics and 3 hours designed to ensure competency when serving a distinct population of your choice. Since January 1, 2024 at least 15 of the 30 hours must come from providers listed in the board rule.
Kentucky — LPCC and LPCA; Wisconsin — LPC: Kentucky: 10 hours per annual renewal. Kentucky law CE (3 hours) is due every 3 years. Suicide assessment, treatment and management is 6 hours within your first 3 years of licensure and every 6 years after. Domestic violence is 3 hours, once, within 3 years of initial licensure. Wisconsin: 30 hours per 2-year renewal, at least 4 of them in professional counselor ethics and boundaries; your first renewal is exempt.
Rhode Island, Louisiana and Illinois — APRN and addiction counseling: Rhode Island: 10 hours per 2-year renewal, including 2 hours of substance abuse. Louisiana: prescribers need 6 contact hours of pharmacotherapeutics annually, on top of general hours. Illinois: 80 hours per biennium, of which 50 must be in your area of practice — the 20 pharmacotherapeutics hours and the 10 safe opioid prescribing hours count inside that 50. Illinois CAADC: 40 CEUs per 2 years, with the 6 CEUs of clinical supervision training counting toward that 40.
Dietetics and nutrition: Certified Nutrition Specialist: 75 CE credits per 5-year cycle, plus reviewing and affirming the CNS Code of Ethics — that affirmation is an attestation, not a CE hour. Wisconsin Certified Dietitian: the state sets no CE hour requirement and renewal is fee-only on a biennial cycle. Ohio Licensed Dietitian: biennial renewal, 30 hours for non-RDs, plus at least 1 hour of ethics or law every 2 years.
Requirements that are not due every cycle: Several of the requirements above run on their own clock — every other renewal, every third renewal, or once after initial licensure. Each now carries a note stating its cadence. Your progress board still lists them every cycle, so check the note to see when yours is actually due. We are working on having the board show only what is due.
Your tracker updated automatically: 21 members held one of these licenses — 23 license records — and their current renewal has been refreshed. Hours you have already logged are unchanged. Renewal periods that had already closed keep the requirements, hour totals and cycle length that applied at the time.
Profession pages updated: The state requirement tables on our profession pages now match the boards: physical therapy (Texas 30 hours; New York 36 for both PT and PTA), occupational therapy (Florida 26; Ohio 20), counseling (Wisconsin 30), respiratory therapy (California 30; Ohio 20), pharmacy technician (California requires 1 hour of cultural competency at state level, Ohio 10, Illinois 20 for certified technicians), nursing (New York infection control training is every 4 years), and dietetics (Ohio is a biennial 30 hours for non-RDs — the 75-hour, 5-year figure is CDR's rule for the RDN credential).
Duplicate entries retired: Three duplicate catalog entries were retired for Arizona RN, Arizona APRN, and Wisconsin Certified Dietitian, so each license type now maps to a single entry.
We refreshed license trackers for Oregon, Washington, and Colorado LMFTs to match the board rules already in our catalog, and we now email you when a board requirement change is applied to a license you hold. Paying subscribers also get a monthly compliance pulse.

Kansas: diagnosis & treatment CE reduced from 6 to 3 hours
Kansas lowered the continuing education minimum for diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders from 6 to 3 hours per renewal period, effective for renewals on or after July 1, 2025 (HB 2340). We've updated every affected Kansas license in the catalog — and if you hold one, your remaining-hours count has been adjusted automatically.
Key Changes by State
Who this affects: LSCSW, LMSW, LCPC, LPC, LCMFT, LMFT, LCAC, LMAC, and psychologists (LP/LMLP/LCP). Total CE hours and the 3-hour ethics minimum are unchanged. If your renewal falls on or after July 1, 2025, you only need 3 hours in diagnosis and treatment.
Your tracker updated automatically: Existing Kansas licenses in the app now show the 3-hour requirement — no action needed. Hours you already completed toward the old 6-hour minimum still count toward your total.
Catalog correction: We also removed an incorrect diagnosis-and-treatment requirement from one Kansas counseling entry that should never have carried it. Spotted thanks to a report from one of our Kansas members — thank you.

May release: Updates to the Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licenses
We've completed a major catalog update to bring comprehensive support for nursing professionals. Our catalog now covers Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses across 51 US jurisdictions.
Key Changes by State
Nationwide RNA & APRN Coverage: Added missing Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice nursing license types to our catalog. We now fully track both foundational and advanced practice nursing credentials across all 51 jurisdictions.
Attestation Model Support: Many nursing boards use direct attestations or continuing competency requirements instead of pure CE hours. Our system now correctly tracks your RN/APRN renewal deadlines using the proper board-specific attestation models.
State-Specific Titles: We've modeled states with specific Advanced Practice titles correctly, so your tracked license exactly matches your official board credential (e.g., 'Nurse Practitioner' in NY or 'Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner' in PA).
We audited every Arizona license in our catalog against official 2025–2026 board requirements. This update adds nursing support, aligns addiction credential titles with the Board's November 2025 name changes, and corrects hour totals for two therapy assistant licenses.
Key Changes by State
Nursing — RN & APRN added: Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) are now available. Arizona uses a continuing competency model instead of mandatory CE hours — the app tracks your renewal date and explains the practice-hour requirements.
Addiction credentials renamed: The Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners renamed three substance abuse licenses in November 2025. LSAT is now LACT, LASAC is now LAAC, and LISAC is now LIAC. If you hold one of these credentials, your license has been updated automatically — no action needed on your part.
Hour corrections & label refinements: OTA hours corrected from 20 to 12, PTA Category A Non-clinical max corrected from 5 to 3, and all Behavioral Health regulator links updated to the Board's new website. 'Cultural Competency' requirement renamed to 'Cultural Competency and Diversity' to match official Board language.
