Your conference transcript says 0.2 ASHA CEUs. A school in-service records 2 hours. An older worksheet asks for CMHs. Putting all three numbers in a column called “hours” can make a careful record confusing.
Keep the original quantity and unit first. Then review what the activity supports for ASHA certification maintenance and for your state SLP license. Those reviews can share evidence without sharing every requirement or deadline.
Read the unit before you total the column
ASHA describes one ASHA CEU as ten hours of continuing education and one professional development hour, or PDH, as one hour. That explains why an ASHA CEU award may look numerically smaller than an hour-based record. It does not establish acceptance by a state board. ASHA credit guidance.
When older records use “CMH,” keep that original wording with the evidence. Use the current terminology and instructions required by the destination rather than silently relabeling a historical transcript.
Example: retain the source and review the destination

These three awards should not be added as though they were all 0.2, 2 and 1 of the same unit. A documented, permitted conversion belongs in the destination review. The original award remains useful if that decision needs to be checked later.
Separate the certification interval from state renewal
Find your actual ASHA interval in your certification account. ASHA's maintenance-interval guidance explains where to find it. Record your separate state renewal period and check any required content or format rules for that license.
A personal learning ledger is not a replacement for an official ASHA Registry entry, certification submission or state renewal. Keep using the official reporting route that applies to you.
Import without losing the unit
Download an available PDF or CSV transcript. In Records, review the title, provider, completion date, quantity and unit before importing. If the source says ASHA CEUs, retain the CEU quantity and its designation; do not enter the decimal as though it were a clock-hour total.
The import can save non-hour awards without a made-up duration. It does not automatically convert them, attach the original PDF as proof, or credit a license. Add supporting documents separately and review eligibility for each destination.
For school or employer learning, make sure the record identifies the actual education provider and completed activity. A generic attendance screenshot may leave questions about content, award or completion date.
Keep the evidence you would want to retrieve
Before finishing your review, check for missing certificates, duplicate rows across exports and completion dates outside the relevant period. Preserve the source page references from PDF imports, along with your original document.

Is 0.1 ASHA CEU the same number as one hour?
ASHA explains that 1.0 ASHA CEU represents 10 hours of continuing education, while one PDH represents one hour. Preserve the original award and check the rules for the destination; the app does not automatically convert units.
Do ASHA certification maintenance and my state license share a deadline?
Use the actual certification interval and state renewal dates separately. Do not assume they coincide.
Can I save a CEU record without entering learning hours?
Yes. The importer can retain an awarded CEU quantity without inventing elapsed hours. Hour-based matching requires documented learning hours before it can suggest allocations.
